Kerbals don't wear helmets in a lot of the IVAs

There a line in the cfg for creating a IVA on if it should have helmet or not.

It's cool, but I feel like IVA views for the Mk2 and Mk3 cockpits should have been higher priority, as those would actually be functional for flying planes

Me too, I also like the other side of it where they have 3 or 4 boxes for garbage. Differently named of course. Refuse, trash, rubbish and so on.

As to the board games there are (or were) a variety of travel board games where all the pieces were magnetic so something like that would work quite well in space.
