Ever fired a lazer while in re-entry?

I don't think it should ever not look like that!

Exactly! :D

They look amazing! It must have to do with the lasers being labeled as an "object" and thus they are affected by the re-entry shader. Maybe the other lazors, like the green lazor won't be affected, as they don't physically collide with anything, as far as I can tell, excluding the Purple Lazor, which may also be affected. So, maybe someone should test all of these out at once, meaning all on the same vessel in one flight, fire them all off by firing the Sunbeam, using all of the guidance and trajectory optimization Lazors' tools, and firing the purple Lazor, all on the same vector so they all experience about the same shading effect. Remember not to block them with things like winglets!

I assume that the Sunbeam is really a physical object is because it collides with things and does damage, so the game must know somehow which way it goes, because that would be much more efficient than having the game do all of the calculations to guess where it's going, as it can't look at the screen like we can, and that wouldn't be as accurate...

Cheers, Naten.
