Hi all,

Just thought I would share a successful mission story.

Eve insertion burn

releasing the probes in a staggered formation in the upper most atmosphere

De-orbiting the probes one by one

The trip was worth it for this Eve sunset alone

The four probes and the high orbit 'com sat'

I like the rover design. Simple but effective. How much control did you have over where they landed? It looked like you were just dropping 'em like bombs, and I'm surprised none landed in the wate- or whatever liquid that is on Eve.

Nice job! ;)

I am working on a research station around Gilly. You seem to be good at this stuff, want to contribute? :)

If I had time I would love to. I just started a new job that's going to keep me quite busy. :(

Very little!! I didn't really have a choice about the drop. I wanted to maximize my chances of hitting land so I staggered the release and increased my altitude at the same time.

At first I thought I had released them too high to be aerobraked. It turns out if you are not actively controlling the object physics will not be applied and cannot be effected by the atmosphere. Sooo I had to do it one at a time. This took about 15 minutes for each rover..

Its just dumb luck that they all landed on soil!
