If you go to your saves directory of your current game, you can create subdirectories like "On Laythe" for example, and drag your save file into there. When you want to load it, drag it back to the saves directory and reload it from the game as normal.

I think that will work, maybe I didn't try it. I'm using different method like renaming the quicksave and dragging it to scenario folder(I tried and it worked absolutely).

You just need to copy the quick save file. Then you can rename the copy for reference. When you want to load a specific save, you just rename it back to quicksave.sfs. It is very simple, stop complicating things. There is also the persistent.sfs file which is the auto-saved state.

I too have used the "existing multiple save" feature of CTRL-C + CTRL-V.

I very much doubt that multiple saves will be officially implemented though. In fact, I fully expect quicksave to vanish at some point, since it's not particularly challenging when you have a quicksave available. I've crashed so many things with absolutely no consequence since I just press F9.

Yes it has two uses, one is to save important memories (landed on top of the Armstrong monument), the other to do incremental saves then doing hard tasks like an Eve landing and exit it makes sense to make an save before deorbit and put in an save 2 folder so you can roll back to this if you needed an better location to reach orbit again.
