I hate quick load now! Is there a way to undo a quick load.

I have spent a week of base building and space station construction, then i made a mistake, did quick load to reset the flight and BAM! im back on my first flight this save. Quick load/save needs to be changed so you know when your last save was.

If there is any way to undo this, please let me know.

Force close KSP before doing anything else. If you exit into menus and such it will save (or if it says autosaving in the corner) but otherwise it won't.

If you are quick enough and the game didn't auto-save yet, press Alt+F4! Restart the game and it should load the last autosave, which was created hopefully few minutes before you quickloaded. If it isn't so, then you have to do all your work again...

Sorry, your progress is lost. One way to reduce quicksave related stress is to backup quicksave files and quicksave regularly.

2x on backups. make a quick link to the ksp folder and "zip" your saves folder every day or two.

despite the necro, this actually needs to be fixed, maybe say a period of time since quicksave or the name of the vessel attached to it.

Look under your KSP/saves/gamename directory. There should be a directory there called "Backup", with timestamped quicksaves in it. ie. it has been fixed, several years ago.

@bewing it there's only files timestamped to like 10 days ago, which is basically like starting a new game

Use ctrl-F5 for the times when  you really want to save your progress, and spam F5 for little things that go wrong during the current flight.
