Space craft dissapearing?

Recommended Posts

I loaded up my game to today to continue assembling my first space station. Just this morning I had launched the space station core and docked on of the space station arms to it, after that I exited the game as normal, then this afternoon when I came back to the game to I launch the 2nd space station arm and when I went to select my space station as a target in map view it was not there. I left the arm in orbit and exited to the space center to see if it was a glitch and if I could find my space station in the tracking station but it was not there either. I also discovered I've also lost a satellite that was orbiting Kerbin, and another satellite that was in orbit around the Mun. :confused:

I'm really quite annoyed by this as I had completed my first successful docking unaided by MechJeb, and I was rather proud of the accomplishment. ;.;

An one else experience anything like this? Is this a glitch anyone else is having with v.21?

I haven't had that problem with 0.21, but in 0.20 I lost easily 50 hours of work just like you did. As far as I know there's nothing you can do but just re-do everything. I make sure to make back-ups of my save often now.

had one ship in a transfer to Duna disappear, but more strangely.

Saw it as expected in the tracking station, switched to it, and there was nothing on screen. No craft, navball was missing, no staging info, could not switch to map view, nothing.

Changed back to the tracking station and it was gone from there.

Reloaded from a backup I had just before made from the save (to move it to another computer) and it was there.

Did your station core have any command module parts in it as (please correct me if I'm wrong here) that may mark it as debris and if your max debris slider isn't set high enough/set at unlimited that's why it may have been deleted.

Yes, it had two command modules, as well as an unmanned core so it could be flown unmanned. The two satelites that went missing had only unmanned cores.
