Tried to make it to Mun, ended up in Kerbol's orbit.

I am not sure how it happened. I build a VERY powerful ship called super moon for a rescue mission to save a stranded kerbal, and made a manuever. I got a Mun encounter, Warped time, then i was in the suns (kerbol) orbit. Does this happen to anyone else, or do I just suck at this game. (btw, i started playing a couple weeks ago).

I think you might've warped too fast there. The Mun's gravity probably slingshotted you out of Kerbin's SOI and you ended up on a solar orbit. Take it slow, don't warp faster than you need to else accidents like this can happen.

Sometimes running super high time warps makes the gravity assist a lot more powerful than it should be. I can't say I've ever had this happen to me, but I 'm not that surprised.

You needed to burn retrograde when you get to the Mun's periapsis. Otherwise, you will be shot into a higher orbit, or even a Kerbin escape, like what jsut happened to you.

You performed an unintended gravity assist. Also, when warping around in the Kerbin system, NEVER go above 10000x warp. you should only use 10000x when transfering to other planets or in solar orbit.

You needed to burn retrograde when you entered the moons Sphere of Influence (SOI) and hit the periapsis,If you do not do that then you will simply leave the mun's orbit and enter Kerbol's.
