Why is it always night time at the launch pad?

Why is it always dar or night time at the launchpad no matter what time it is during the day IRL? If I time-warp it does chnage, but when I go back to the VAB and then to the lauch pad, its dark again.

If you are going back to the VAB after using the "Revert Flight" option, it returns back to the time of day you entered the VAB the first time...so if that was at night, you'll return to night.

It's always night on the launch pad when the launch pad is on the night side of Kerbin. This has nothing to do with what time it is where you live on Earth.

If you speed up time a bit, you'll see the stars rotate around and soon the sun will rise.

Per above, if you are doing repeated testing of a new design and want to test during the day, don't launch and then warp time, because when you revert time also reverts.

The way around this is really convoluted at the moment: What you should do is go to the tracking station, select some other craft, take control of it, and warp time until the KSC is in daylight. Then exit that flight (do not choose "revert"!), and then launch the craft that you are actually wanting to launch. Now each time you revert it will revert to daytime.
