Best Rendezvous and Dock times

Hey all, I've been lurking for the first few weeks I've had ksp as there is some really interesting stuff here but don't worry about intros.

What I was wondering is what everybody's best times are for performing a rendezvous and then docking!

Just to start off here's mine (I'm new to the game so they aren't the fastest)

Rendezvous (within a stable 5km distance or less) : ~20 minutes

Docking (from end of rendezvous) : 10 minutes

And for a bit of a laugh my first R+D took me about 3 solid hours

Congratulations on learning docking, it's one of the more challenging things in the game and a lot of people have trouble with it. Questions about it pop up nearly daily so big thumbs up your way for managing it without having to ask.

I personally enjoy both rendezvous and docking immensely, so I honestly haven't timed mine. My first few times took quite some time, can't give you any numbers but a guesstimate would be around your first time as well. Nowadays it's more routine and I can do it fairly fast, even so for me it's one of the most enjoyable things in the game.

My best time was a rendez-vous in around 11 minutes ingame time - it was not planned, but i ended my circularization after ascent less than 2 km from my target (i directly switched to burn retrograde to target upon seeing this to directly match velocities)

Anyway, other than luck or mechjeb, it's hard to make such interceptions

If you mean IRL time, i can do an RV in about five minutes given my current strategy, i.e. enlarge/shrink orbit to catch up to target or let target catch up, timeaccelerate till aforementioned happens, then use maneuver nodes to plan a closest intercept, either around 10 kilometres, timeaccelerate and execute maneuver, or immediately go to 4-5 kilometres. If i'm more than 5 kilometres away, i repeat.

From there, a minute or two to get within a hundred metres, and another 2-5 minutes to dock the craft to the station is my guess.

There is a video out there somewhere where someone managed a launch to dock in under 10 minutes. Personally I've never considered being able to do it really quickly a matter of importance, just happy to do it successfully each time.
