Welcome to the SSI Shoowroom!

2a2y.jpg

Please enjoy the selection of showcases we have for you today.

SSI specializes in interplanetary operations but that is not to say that we struggle in other areas. We provide expeptional logistical services and other operations usually centered around resource mining operations. We test our designs extensively to guarantee* the best quality and full operation of our stuff.

Without further ado, let's get into what SSI has available!

SSI equipment is put in orbit by out faithful Nova I launch system. The Nova I has been upgraded since this picture and now has an integrated interplanetary stage. This can be replaced with a self-deorbiting docking stage by request.

Mods used: KSPX

SSI often sends it's intrepid kerbal crews to sites in comfortable outposts like this one. Depending on te configuration of choice, up to 27 kerbals can call this place home. These outposts do come with or without a Nova I launcher, a habitation module for housing the other 20 kerbals (unless you can fit 20 kerbals in uninflated habitats :sticktongue:) and lander shuttles to deliver said 20 kerbals to the base and return them to orbit.

An outpost on Duna

Mods used: HOME, KSPX (launcher only)

One set up to house 17 and to carry 13.

How does SSI deliver this many kerbals to orbit when we can't use inflatable habitats during launch? With the Orion I SSTO crew shuttle! This bird can deliver up to 6 victims brave kerbalnauts and 2 pilots to a space station in up to a 150km orbit (untested but calculations say the same can be achieved up to 200km) and dock. If it refuels there, it can then extend it's operational range out to the Mun. It remains untested for direct runs to Minmus and for Mun-Kerbin returns without refueling.

Mods used: B9

The Lazarus was a colony ship meant to haul loads of modules out to distant worlds. The configuration seen below is a tanker. It has about 5500 dV (I think mechjeb was counting the fuel tanker module) without full kethane tanks. I cannot remember the stats with kethane.

Mods used: Kethane, KSPX

SSI uses these Ketholanders as scouting vessels to test landing zones. They are designed to determine flat areas, ensure kethane access, and then return to orbit. This particular ketholander was designed for operation in Munar gravity and will inherently work on any atmosphereless body except Tylo.

Mods used: Kethane, KSPX(?)

Now on to some fun stuff, prototypes! Random stuff that didn't work, was unstable, isn't a regular build of mine, or otherwise doesn't make the catalog.

One of the prototypes for the Horizon refueling station.

x4f.png

The Razorcat Heavy Escort fighter. I don't typically do military stuff so this doesn't make the catalog.

mjgu.png

i76d.png

A prototype Mun station designed to serve as one of 3 in a major SSI kethane operation there.

qlfr.png

An armored fuel tanker cruiser. Again, miliarty related so did not make the catalog. Another tanker design will be published later (when I iron it out some :sticktongue:).

a721.png

A small orbiter craft I made for no real reason at all.

itgv.png

To purchase an SSI craft, please say so here and specify which one. I may ask you why you want it, but that aside, I will give you the craft file.(no cash payment actually required)

Suggestions:

I am not a rocket building company (okay, I sort of am). I do not take design requests for 1 ship for 1 person. I do take suggestions, which I may then build and include in my catalog. If your suggestion gets built. I will offer you one free of charge (charge = reason for use)

*All my stuff is tested, though at times it may malfunction due to KSP buggy physics, user error, or kraken attacks. Any advertising claim that is labeled as unvalidated should be taken with a pinch of salt.

SSI is now a proud member of the Kerbal Alliance of Interplanetary Corporations. You may find info on our latest projects and releases both here and there, however, this thread and PM remains the only way in which to aquire SSI equipment.

Well, The Orion can deliver plenty of them! It has seen one upgrade since that pic: the addition of a B9 info drive which contains the action group functions. That window will show on launch so no need to check them beforehand.

Enjoy shuttling crew!

I think I'll be able to have a nice big pack out soon including a new .21 Lazarus II, as well as 3 series of lifters (in development, taking time, will be a big release). I also need to rebuild my Prometheus Grand Tour vessel and I have a B9 cargo jet that I am trying to make SSTO.

  • 1 month later...

Hey, sorry to bump this thread, but could I please have the Razorcat and the Armored tanker? I'm trying to make my own military ships, and I would like to study armor, weapons, etc. (Could I please also have them with no launch vehicle?) Thank you!

Uhm, crap. I just cleaned out all my old save files (and crafts with them). For starters, not making the regular catalog means it usually isn't up for distribution and consequently does not have an online backup. I may no longer have those files (Okay, I am certain I don't have the tanker). That being said, I could probably rebuild the Razorcat. And don't be sorry for bumping, bumping is good for business.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
