How do you get the after mission report for a successful mission?

When you crash hard and destroy your ship there is a mission report that lists things like mission time, maximum G force, altitude, etc.

However up until now I can't seem to get this report when I land safely (landed or splashed down). I can click the recover button from the observation building but that just removes the ship and doesn't tell me anything.

If I still have a splashed down mission open and paused (resume flight, space center and settings available) how can I end it in such a way that I get a mission report?

F3 opens that mission report mid-flight.

Hit F3. That'll bring up your flight log at any point during the mission. You can just look at it prior to recovery.

Thanks, being able to see it at any time is even better, now I can check on G forces when testing future manned equipment.
