Colorblind Mode! NavBall elements for colorblind people

I was watching a livestream today and the host was landing on Minmus. He was talking about how he cannot see the purple marker in the navball and I imagine there is similar issue with the other two (yellow/blue) based on what type of color blindness you might have.

I did a quick search on the forums for such a suggestion and it came back bare, so I hope this makes you stop and think for a minute.

I actually remember seeing a colorblind thread...but I think it was quite a while ago. They'll probably factor in some colorblind something...or something like that, but I don't think it would be a very high priority. Then again, it's all UI stuff, mostly, right? So...maybe it wouldn't be too difficult to implement soonish.

I have the same problem with the "yellow" prograde and retrograde markers but it isn't a huge issue right now due to the fact you can still eyeball it from the shapes.

An option in the future would be great but I think it's a low priority on the road map right now, maybe someone could mod the UI for a colourblind navball.

Correct me if I'm stupid, but wouldn't darkening the marker colors (i.e. making the prograde/retrograde vector a forest green instead of a lime green) render the markers visible to someone who is colorblind?

Accessibility is important! Even though the game is still in development, Squad should make sure the UI is readable by all players.

It would be nice to make the colors of the pro/retro markers, manuever point, etc configurable. The the color of the ball itself does conform to international standards.

for the most part, i'm able to see all of the signs on the nav-ball and i'm pretty colorblind, not black white only, but red and green defecient, nevertheless a little darker might not be a bad idea
