How to make flags

I have the demo, hoping to get full soon, and i found i couldn't plant a flag. any help? Alsoi saw custom flags. how would i do that?

The demo is from version 0.18 and flags weren't implemented until 0.20, so you don't have them right now.

When you get the full game, if you have a .png file with the correct aspect ratio you can make a flag out of it. There used to be a requirement for the image to be something like 216x160 IIRC, but I'm not sure if that's still a requirement with 0.21 or not. You'd just build the file and copy into the GameData/Flags/(Whatever you decide to name it to distinguish your flags from the stock ones) directory.

As capi3101 said, the demo is 0.18.3, and flags were introduced in 0.20.

There's a folder in the KSP folder called flags (it's in a sub folder). In there you will find all the image files used as flags in the PNG format. Open one of these in an image editor program, like windows paint, adobe photoshop or GIMP, paste what you want over this, save it as a new file and you have a custom flag.

The steam version and store version are identical, so yes, you can do everything on steam as you could on the store.
