[Shuttlecraft Systems Inc.] General Catalog - Multiplayer Server Update!

Thanks for updating. I always keep this catalog bookmarked! :)

They're all great ships, but I wish there were a few more Type-2 and Type-3s. While fun to fly, it doesn't seem that practical to ferry single kerbals around!

You bet, I'll look into it! We have a number of prototypes, just none certified yet but certainly a number of them are certifiable.

Still alive. Just working on SSI Kerbal Mutli Player server stuff. Any new shuttlecraft that meet our standards and footprint are welcome to be submitted in our main company thread. See my sig below for details.

What is the ease of use for most of these? I am a failure at piloting space planes.

They let you have a small craft capable of sending kerbals and cargo to anywhere. And most of them are easy to fly so no need to worry. :)

I added this bit in the OP:

NEW AS OF JUNE 2014! You can now TRY OUT ALL CRAFTS AND PROTOTYPES on our MULTIPLAYER SERVER! We have converted the SSI KSP multiplayer server to Dark Multi Player by godarklight which is the banner fork of the old KMP mod by TehGimp. Want to try before you buy? You are welcome to test out any SSI certified craft, or any prototype for that matter in our KSP Dark Multi Player SSI Universe server: ssi.kerbalcentral.com port 6702 - go check it out today! When in the game, from your DMP menu, select the Craft button to access the craft library. (We are still in the process of developing the universe to our liking, so until then, pardon the empty space around Kerbin and beyond!)

All craft have been certified for .24!

Well deserved bump. Not much activity in this thread, but these shuttlecraft always have a permanent presence in my SPH.

I used the Proton T just last week. I hope SSI continue into .25 and beyond! :)

Preview pic!

The ship is currently unnamed, and is codenamed "Firefly". It's based off of Rune's Gladius II and Exothermos's Exo.

The good 'ol Gladius... I should totally rework that one! But your ship is indeed looking pretty cute (more than what I remember mine did, at least). Can I assume it has a spacious cabin in the back?

Rune. I'm really itching to see the MkIII parts in 0.25.

Rune:

I'm looking forward to .25. I know other engineers are too, so I expect new designs to be more forth coming after its release. We already have a few engineers working on designs using the newly expected parts. I see Levelord though has already beat us (again) to the punch party with his awesome pre-release. I look forward to sleeker looking shuttlecraft!

The14th:

Glad to hear they are still well-liked crafts. I fly them a lot still. I've been working on a larger shuttlecraft for sometime but may just scrap it in favor of the new parts in .25 to see if they make a difference in look and feel.

Ok guys, time for .25 transitions. SSI is calling for any good builder to submit .25 version shuttlecraft in our builder thread. Certification run for any SSI cataloged shuttlecraft is the capability of undocking from 120km, landing at KSC, and redocking at 120km without refueling.

We are specifically interested in Minmus capable return shuttlecraft, since the dV requirements also permit one ways to the Mun.

The SSI Neutron H2 is now published in our Craft Library! See our multiplayer server to get it. Please read our updated rocket builder forum thread OP for more info:

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/41898-Shuttlecraft-Systems-Inc-%28SSI%29-Your-Auxiliary-Spacecraft-Company!-Now-Multiplayer!

SSI has converted completely over to DarkMultiPlayer to become the first company to adopt a multiplayer server as its primary testing and publishing outlet! Come check out our universe!

Damn, I had a few very nice designs.... I'll see if I can modify any of them into VTOL's, although the VTOL mode will only be used for the initial takeoff and landings.

Do you think you could post I few pictures of what you are working on?

Though I agree that having your crafts on a server is a good idea, having them not be accessible any other way AND having your server be down most of the time is not.

The crafts aren't down. Each engineer maintains their own release thread in the catalog. The server is just the only place to find them all together.

Shuttlecraft Systems Inc.

Anyone familiar with Star Trek will know what a shuttlecraft is. Short, stocky, and functional, they don't look like space planes. They look like personal sporting auxiliary spacecraft. Shuttlecraft are all stock parts, are somewhat diamond or boxed in shape and balance, sleek with small wings (think tail fin sized), and capable of launching from a runway, or VTOL (preferred), and making it into designated orbits and other rendezvous possibilities. Such craft are also capable of leaving space stations or other spacecraft in orbit (once fueled by their orbiting mother craft), and returning to said mother craft or other crafts in orbit without refueling. Since the craft are designated as auxiliary spacecraft, they are attachable to space stations and larger ships via a docking port.

If you are interested in joining Shuttlecraft Systems Inc. or in submitting your independent designs for SSI certification, please visit our company thread in the Spacecraft Builders forum here: Shuttlecraft Systems Inc. (SSI) [NOW HIRING!] Other crafts are viewable in our company thread and are pending certification for publication in our General Catalog.

NEW AS OF NOVEMBER 2014! You can now DOWNLOAD AND TRY OUT ALL CRAFTS AND PROTOTYPES from our MULTIPLAYER SERVER! .25 Vessels! SSI engineers are working on submitting .25 compatible versions of the craft in this catalog. Stay tuned for updates! If you are a published SSI engineer, please update your crafts to .25 and upload the crafts to our multiplayer server.

The following KSP version .24.2 vessels have been certified by the SSI Board of Engineers per the SSI Certification Requirements for their Series or Class:
