Nuclear engines exploderizing each other?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

I love the new quad-coupler, and I've been trying to develop a four-engine stage for an interplanetary probe I'm working on. The problem is that when I put decouplers on the set of engines, it adds those dang fairings. When I press the button to ignite the nukes, the fairings break off and and slam into the engine opposite them, everything goes boom, and I'm left with a giant pile of fuel tanks and no engines.

Anyone know how to avoid this? Is there a way to disable these fairings?

Thanks in advance! Cheers :)

Here's some image tutorials I made. I'm starting to get tired of repeating myself, suppose I should make a tutorial post in the tutorials section and just copy paste the link.

For tri-coupler rotate engines 90° so fairing seam faces outward. For quad-coupler rotate engines 45° so that the seam faces outward.
