Remote Tech making hard take offs :(

Recommended Posts

Nothing wrong with SAS, why do you turn it off? You can still steer with SAS enabled, it just helps to hold your heading. I don't have remote tech installed so you'd have to post a screenshot, but if you're turning off SAS and it plunges then it's likely a balance issue that the SAS can control with reaction wheel torque / control surfaces.

You shouldn't be turning off SAS in the first place.

Only thing that remote tech could complicate things with is if you don't have contact to KSC, you need antennas/dishes I'm sure you're aware.

Other question: Why are you turning SAS off?

Might be it is what kept your rocket from crashing in the first place - try launching without SAS and see if it tilts earlier, would indicate you have a different problem then remote tech.

Edit: ARGH!

i was using the mk1 remotetech remotecontrol thing, now using mk2 and the craft just veers off and crashes again :( im not very good at building rockets in this game

Then it's a balance issue and not because of Remote Tech.

screw it, im just gonna make a makeshift satalite network around kerbin, not a real one with remoteTech :( ah well

I doubt you'll have any more success with that unless you learn to build balanced rockets. Best of luck though.

If you need any help with building rockets, post here. If you post images, people will be able to analyse what might be causing your issues. Don't give up, there's a lot of help available on these forums.

Remember the key tenets of rocketry:

1. Go up, then sideways

2. Keep things balanced

3. Less is more

4. Strut Strut Strut.
