[WIP] Apollo-like crew module (Updated download 17.2.2014)

Alright, so I've uploaded the updated version with reworked textures and fixed parachute animation. Is probably not balanced with the current science system, for now I've put it with the mk1-2 module (and I hope it's working because I don't have a save in career to check), but I'm open to suggestions.

By the way the half-meter version of the Apollo-style LES from this pack http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/37138-Wolf-Aerospace-Perfectrons-L-E-S-Packfits quite nicely (not totally flush but certainly nice enough, unfortunately my game crashed and now is no time for a scrrenshot anymore) I guess this is a good alternative. I think you don't need to make one for yourself (unless you really want to) Just link it for everyone who uses your mod. PDCWolf probably would like that extra PR too *wink*

Thanks, I'll test and see how it works! Since I have a model ready, it's not much of a problem to make a version that's completely flush with the model.

Technical stuff: Both modules use one 1024x1024 texture (plus one normal map for the main module), I *think* I configured it to reference the texture and load it into memory only once, but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm?

By the way could you revise the node under the capsule maybe? Because I want to use the 2.5 mdecoupler from DRE as the capsule isn't so much wider than 2.5m and this decoupler is made to fit flush with heatshields so it fits nicely under your round underside of the capsule but the bottom node seems to be bit inside the capsule so I can't attach the decoupler without it to be inside the capsule bottom too (will post a Screenshot soon so you can see what I mean)

Well that would certainly be nice :D For everyone who wants to use RPM with it . As currently the Mk 1-2 pod internal is used, the config for RPM is fairly easy

When he or someone else gets done with IVA, I can do set the IVA with MFD's or someone else can. If they do the modeling of the IVA I can do the prop set ups if they like. Just PM when the IVA gets done or what not.

The Mk1-2 internal will work with the config. Its universal to what ever part is using the IVA, if it uses

INTERNAL

{

name = PodCockpit

}

Docking port would need a code like this in that part, just change Example Name to part name:

@PART[Example Name]
{
MODULE
{
name = JSIExternalCameraSelector
cameraContainer = dockingNode
cameraIDPrefix = DockingPortCam
}
}

I forgot that pod comes with docking port, it doesn't look like typical KSP kind.

I believe a navball is included with RPM.

I think what he meant is a transparent-HUD navball. Which is not included in the example prop -- to make it you would need to create your own prop, in which the shaders are up in a specific way, ("KSP/Alpha/Unlit transparent" is the key trick to making a transparent display) and mess around with color configuration options and maybe texture colors, which is what BobCat did.

I dont really know much about modding... if model of capsule is released, it is posible to copy such prop into your own capsule, or you need source? Bobcat never releases source :(

Props are easy to reuse, that is essentially what I'm doing with RPM's MFD in the first place -- initially it was made for ALCOR too. I didn't need model source to do it it. :)
