There many colored markings on the navball at the same time..

The Navball, along with the Add Maneuver tools are your friends that will show you exactly what your rocket will be doing in that huge three dimensional space of the Kerbal system, where all flights take place on curved paths. influenced by gravity. The markings show which way your ship is pointed and the path it is heading in relation to the influence of gravity from the nearest source be it the sun, planet, or moon.
