Need like 1,5k m/s �v to get into orbit after SOI any tips?

Hey, Just tried to try to get to Duna and after the SOI i need like 1,5k m/s ÃŽâ€v to get into orbit . Any Tips?

Use aerobraking - for Duna, if you're arriving from Kerbin, you should go down to about 13 kilometers. That will reduce the ÃŽâ€V required to a hundred at most - if you're allready in Duna's SOI, though, you might not be able to change your orbit in time without using even more than 1500 m/s of ÃŽâ€V.

Do a radial burn as close to immediately after you enter Duna's SOI as possible, with the aim of getting the Duna periapsis to 12.5-13 kilometers. I did that with the Storax Anacostia mission; it took about 700 m/s for the burn and the aerobrake did the rest. Don't go too low or you'll head for lithobrake - Duna's aerobrake altitude window is very narrow (11k and you're going in, 15k is not enough).

As everyone here said, try a 13km aerobrake :-).

Quicksave beforehand though. I once aerobraked a probe at Eve, ended up having to preform a hefty burn to prevent spontaneous collision-related disassembly of my probe.
