Instead of putting frequently suggested things on a do not suggest list, prioritize

Recommended Posts

Currently, if something is suggested frequently, it is put on a do not suggest list. I suggest that instead of that, which ignores the community's desires, these frequent suggestions, if they are widely supported in the community, be prioritized for rapid implementation within the next few updates.

I think that prioritizing often-requested features, even in a tentative manner, may be viewed by the playerbase as an implicit promise to "do X by version 0.Y", when in fact SQUAD's plans are constantly evolving such that whatever roadmap they have is highly likely to be invalidated further down the track.

Therefore, I can't say I'm fond of this suggestion at all.

If the dev does it like you suggest and take the last few weeks we would have:

- more parts

- Boats

- Lot of science stuff to do but not part to do them.

- Another screenshot directory

- So many planets/systems

Before we even have the R&D, career mode, fixed sas and any other things they could be working/planning on for .22.

The what not to suggest list is the list of all the suggestion that the dev have either confirmed or denial to have in the game. most of the other often suggestion (that the dev have not confirmed or denial) are tracked in the already suggested list.

Those list exist to avoid this forum to be spammed by the same suggestion, look at the first page at the time, there is 2 boats suggestion, 2 suggestions for extending landing legs/wheels in the VAB/SPH.

If we did not have those list (and enforce them), we will end up with 10+ multiplayer, 20+ more planets in the first page and we will miss all the actual new suggestions.

Personally, I remember when the things being released now used to be the things that *were* requested most often. "Career!, We need career!" "Resources!" etc

I think you may find that the system you desire is already mostly implemented...

That and as has been said it would lead to a very imbalanced game as far as overall development.

I can understand why you would ask this, I`m not so sure it isn`t already happening to the degree that is sensible.

Please do keep in mind that all that is done here is giving the devs suggestions. Suggesting means that you're asking without demanding. The devs do have their own plan for the game and every now and then suggestions do get implemented. The decision whether to implement something and when to implement it is that of the devs and theirs alone.

Surely the do not suggest list is full of stuff they either can't implement, don't want to implement or are already implementing.

Let them make the game. Let us suggest stuff. Let them tell us what goes in.

The bulk of it is this.

What not to suggest is a list of things that either are already planned for a yet undetermined update, are already being implemented in the near future, or will not be implemented regardless of the reason.

And most of what you'll see suggested is the same suggestions over and over, ideas that have come up so often people have become weary of discussing them.

The things on the Do not suggest list have either

A.) been noted by the Devs and should not be clogging up the forums any further.

B.) Never going to be added

C.) stuff that wouldn't work

D.) Multiplayer (falls into catagories A and B)
