What is the largest space station you have ever built?

Biggest in terms of size, not mass? That would my mass relay. Here's a picture towards the end of the launch (no mods, no hyperedit) which still includes some orange tanks and mainsails, otherwise it's really hard to tell just how big it is.

Second picture is the "victory photo". Took about 30 attempts to get it into orbit...

Largest by number of occupants....

Tri-X (154 places for kerbals) 9l4hH3A.png

UOS (278 places for Kerbals) vrrlRdM.png

USP-Core; One that I started but not built on. Got it into orbit in one piece (32+ orange tanks ,16 - large standard engines). Many ports to add to it (24 +). A potential of housing 500+ Kerbals. Moved on to building a deep explore ship out of standard parts called bucket ship.

That is very nice work, all you need now is a scale size Normandy next to it :D

"Space Scumbag" has already posted a very nice normandy, but it was launched via hyperedit (or debug menu options)

He also built a more accurate mass relay with the greater geometric options provided by new structural parts (I built mine several versions ago). But of course it too was unable to launch itself (wings are much lighter than structural panels!).

Very nice craft, you can find them in his thread here http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/44503-Mass-Effect-Collection-Reaper-Mass-Relay-The-Citadel

How did you make that one with no mods? It seems to have very nice curves

It's just one of the advantages of building stupidly huge things, since each individual part only represents a tiny fraction of the overall shape you get much higher "resolution" on your craft.

Also, extreme patience.

Back in the good old 0.18 days I build this monstrosity in Minmus orbit. It weighed in at over 576 tons and housed 360 Kerbals. (The KSPX Cupola could hold 3 instead of the current 1.)

I planned to move it out of Kerbins SoI but it was too unstable.

Only 1 I have on offer is the KSS21

EB4B8FD16710A7EDB242A2981324AA5E594C5989

550 parts 33 max kerbal crew, current crew 10(from the 2 docked ships), 2 robotic tugs for moving small stuff around ,

length 230 meters from docking tip to the other docking tip on the solar arrays, all up weight is somewhere in the 350 tons range and took some 17 flights to assemble at a 160km LKO

Includes a SEKI reciever array built from remotetech big dishes(because I like them) and theres a mechjeb pack somewhere in there providing flight and station info.... not that it can be moved
