Brakes not releasing...

What is going on with the brakes? I'm trying to take off full throttle, but if I set the brakes before the run-up, it doesn't matter if I push B or click the brakes icon my airplane just stays in place on the runway and I have to revert.

Also how do I see the flight statistics, like the demo shows when you end a flight.

Is that really it? Because either I don't have the attention span for them to release or there's something wrong because half the time I wind up overpowering them and snapping the landing gear off, and the other half the time I have to stop and thrust again.

Definitely if you're sitting still with brakes engaged then it may take a few seconds before they "disengage" and you begin to roll. I've never had the gear snap off, just had my plane tip over anchored at the forward landing gear.

I feel they take way too long though. I'm pretty sure it's just an artifact of the time where there was no parking brake and it never got changed.

I don't see any benefit or logic behind it now.

Sometime the breaks doesn't release.

I usualy play with pitching up and down for it to release.

And since nobody seemed to yet answer your latter question, then I think I will. To view the flight statistics just press F3. Then press F3 again to close them. The other way is to crash your vessel and then press Escape (not recommended).
