Exchanging pilots when and with docked cabins

Hi All,

Small question, when docked and (alt)right clicking two connected, in other words docked, cabins there seems no option to let pilots travel between them. Am I correct in suspecting that the only way to exchange them is by 'spacewalk' and or climbing via the outside to the other craft to change places, or am I overlooking something?

EVA is indeed the only way to move crew currently without the use of mods.

EVA is the only way atm.. When you EVA make sure no clipping parts are near the exit of the craft, it can catapult your kerbal far far away

I'm still very new at this, so using mods is something for a later stage.

Now if I could find the 'answered' combobox (using Firefox 24.0), I'd use it. ;-)

You can however use the plugin "Crew Manifest" which will let you do that without EVA.

This is, simply put, the best option there is. Crew Manifest is the only plug-in I run these days. Everything else is stock, but I still find Crew Manifest to be insanely useful. All you do is download the folder and then put that folder in the GameData directory, next to the Squad folder. It simply gives you a little icon to click that lets you move crew around.

It is better than the current astronaut complex because you can create your own kerbals, and give them good names like Neil Kerman, Buzz Kerman, Sally Kerman, Valentina Kerman, and of course Maynard G Kerman. And you can move kerbals off of vehicles while on the launch pad, or add them. How many ships have you hit LAUNCH only to realize you forgot to add someone from the astronaut complex? And finally, you can move crew between pods. So very, very, nice.

Take the plunge on this one. Trust me. So good, so easy, and probably should be implemented as stock.

Well, I wasn't completely honest when I said I use no plugins/mods yet, I use 'Kerbal Engineer Redux' to get a feel for the contraptions I build, so in a way you've got me convinced to try this one out as well. ;-)

On the other hand with the next version out today I probably have a look what's under the hood in that one first. :-)
