Biomes?

Is there a map of Biomes? if not how do we put probes in different biomes? trial and error?

Harvester released a blog with a map of kerbin with biomes, but not of the mun.

Badlands is the black area on the biome map http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/entries/971-Doing-Science-Celestial-Body-Biomes!

To be honest is doesn't currently look much different to grassland but I guess this may change in future updates.

I registered just to say this...

I made my first landing in the badlands last night. After a smooth landing I started running all of the science instruments on the outside of my ship to gather all the science I could. There was enough sunlight (and battery power) left to finish up before night, but I decided to save the EVA portion for the next morning.

When the sun rose, my Kerbal popped out of the hatch and did some EVA reports from there before climbing the ladder down to take surface samples. I reached the end of the ladder, pressed the spacebar to let go, and the ground swallowed him whole. Just like that, he was gone.

I recovered the ship and visited the astronaut complex, or whatever it's called. Sure enough he was listed as MIA. I don’t recall his name… it was only his first mission! He was too young to die. My first loss since beginning career mode as well. Such a shame. I'm going to have to hire someone with a lot of courage and stupidity if I ever plan on returning. My Kerbals and I are now terrified of the accursed Badlands.
