Extended Science Objectives for Stations/Long Distance Missions

Using the Science Jr or Mystery Goo CU, have an option to start a long-term observation (or something along those lines):

- While you do other missions, this will run in the background on a space station, or a ship on its way to another planet.

- When the time's up, have the user get notified somehow, so they can record the data or transmit it.

- This will give more meaning to making space stations around the solar system by generating lots of science (for later-game technologies maybe?)

i have a fealing this will be implemented in some shape or form because people want a real purpose of building those giant space stations and bases around and on planets right. this would also give players more options/ways to get science.

I asked about this to Maxmaps on the last KSPTV livestream (and so too did a lot of people) and he said they wanted something like that. So I guess it will eventually come, long term experiments on space stations, stuff like that.
