Science and Anomolies

I'll admit I'm very suprised that there doesn't appear to be any Science points with locating the anomolies in the game. I would think that would be a rather significant gain to science to find one of these discoveries. Particularly now that automated navigation are not available early on or at all (like MJ or Mapsat).

I've planted a flag and taken soil samples from such a site, with little or no gain in Science related to the anomoly.

That would be especially cool. Go to an anomaly, do a surface sample/EVA report, and get between 500 and 700 science for each, perhaps even more (kinda want to balance it around experts who know the location of every anomaly). Maybe prorate the science reward depending on anomaly difficulty/distance from KSC.

I think the anomalies should be randomly placed (with constraints so they look good) at each career start. Special parts should be unlocked for anomaly finds (e.g. parts that can't be unlocked otherwise).

In line with this, I was really hoping that the biomes were a lot smaller. Why? Simple--it seems that rovers have less value now, considering that it's more practical to "hop" your lander around say, the Mun, to go to another distant biome, than driving for several hours to get to a new biome just to get soil samples from the new location. So, to replicate Apollo missions, aside from surface triggers, there has to be object triggers (i.e. Tracy's Rock, House Rock, etc.) that would return science.

I personally think that anomalies should award massive amounts of science for their location, as doing so without special equipment is extremely hard. There are quite a few out there as well! I should know – I've visited them all!
