A rant....

So, I build a lifting stage (Asparagus, of course), that can get 200 tons and change into 75km orbit, no problems.

(Ok, so I boast. Pretty proud of it, although it is rather simple in design)

And now I am too lazy to build a smaller one. I just use it for everything. Well... almost everything.

80 tons? So what? Use the big one. Lots of fuel left over, but what the hell.....

I can't wait till costs are somehow a factor in a future update.

This update taught me to build with limited parts.... the next (or one of the next) will hopefully teach me to be efficient.

What if all that fuel crashes into your station?

What if it orbit decays and falls on a school full of kerbals?

Who would be laughing then?

Nobody, because kerbin would explode...

I personally like to have a lifter for each Fuel tank. That is, my heaviest lifter only gets 36 tons to orbit.

Wups. Ok, so I would like to add that english is not my first language, ok? And "Efficiency" I checked with the spellchecker. I thought I had no trouble with "disaster", so I didn't check. Well.... Call me legasthenic. Which coincidentally, I am. Kind of. Got some schooling as a child.

Thanks, but it is not that hard.

Basically, its an asparagus with six outside pylons with 3 "tin cans" each and a Mainsail underneath. And then another round of the same pylons. Took a little fiddling with separators, but that was all.

Since it's asparagus you can make it smaller simply by removing the outer stage.

I'll never understand the joy of asparagus staging, i like doing things the old fashioned way:

using half of your lander fuel to actually make kerbin orbit.

I doubt it will be the end of asparagus, but the shape of the rockets will change. What it probably will be the end of is the pancake lifter.
