Venus-like planet ideas

These are some vague ideas for hot Venus-like planet exploration.

Visiting such planet woudl require cooling module and coolant containers.

When you enter planets atmosphere, temperature indicator shows up. Above specific temperature, ship without cooling module, or without coolant explodes.

Staying in hot areas of atmosphere, depletes coolant in pace proportional to temperature. So time you can spend inside atmosphere is limited. It woudl add dramatic flavor to exploration. Player woudl need to calsulate time spent on surface.

Lower in atmosphere ship sinks, hotter it gets. Temparature is fluctuating so even if you stay in one place it can get hotter or colder by few degrees. Specific parts of planet woudl also be hotter and warmer.

And with weather system implementation? Oh no, the storm is coming! Gotta get out from here fast or clouds of boiling acid will fry my ship.

First of all, Unity can't handle much particles.

Second of all, Eve is Venus

eve is the analogue of venus, it has thick atmosphere and its really hot, when they implement clouds im sure they will add a thick layer of them to eve so the surface will be barely visible from orbit

Eve is far too pretty to be a true venus analogue. I'd love to have an awful looking hostile wasteland of an analogue... in addition to Eve of course, not as a replacement.

Far too pretty? The gravity and atmosphere are crushing, it's probably boiling hot and for all we now the oceans could be acid. The only difference is it's purple.

Venus does not have boiling acid rains on the surface. Precipitation never reaches surface.

Science on Eve says the temperature fluctuates between boiling and very cold and something should be done with Eve to make it more hellish. This is a good proposition.

It's a discussion, not a suggestion. Discussing things on the WNTS list is okay. Mostly. Not sure on the multiplayer side of things, though.

I don't see the need for every planet in our solar system to have a perfect analogue, really... but um, if you really want to talk about it, go ahead.
