Do what Manley did: run through it several times using all the other views until you can do it without maneuver nodes, and then until you can do it without map view. Write down all the burn times and durations while you're at it so you have a reference when you're in the cockpit view.

Watch Manley's video closely; he didn't do that without preparation.

That's to much work, just do it once viewing normally to get a feel for it, then do it. The only thing you have to remember from your first run is the speed you need to be going to reach the Mun and your heading, and neither has to be dead on exact for the mun.

Except the altitude. =)) (joking, you miss much more)

Maybe I'm wrong about the altitude, but I don't know how you would read altitudes over 100km on that altimeter (I'm not home so I can't check it).

All manned pods have an altimeter, and I'm pretty sure it takes the altitude from ground level rather than sea level. You read altitudes above 100km by looking out the window and determining how far away from something you are, then comparing it to the altitude reading. If you're beyond 100km then unless you're trying to do an IVA-only mission to Jool it doesn't really matter.

Ok, as promised:

Entry (or whatever xD this is not serious)

I've streamed it on twitch earlier, evil people, no one told me that my microphone is making that noise, my voice is annoying anyway, you can mute it. It was the second time I was explaining it, so the explanations are not complete, so you better mute it.

You can start the scoreboard, my time seems to be 12:26:50. But you'll have a surprise if anyone tries to beat me. :P

EDIT: To make it a little more interesting would be nice to add a new rule, to require to land on ground, without any damage. Crashing randomly on the dark side of Kerbin is a little obnoxious.

My time was 12:26:50, not 12:16:50.

You can edit the first post and put the scoreboard there, so it's easier for everyone to find it.

Now I've realized it, you better say it in the rules that debug console is not allowed (seems pretty obvious that you wouldn't like this), before this gets full with infinite fuel people.
