Riddles

So if its not a board game, I'm gunna guess,

White wolf?

Incase I'm completely wrong and no one knows what it is, its basically improved hide and seek, you have to find people and iirc when you find them you have to say "white wolf" and then they have to run and touch whatever place specified before the game, and if they do without being tagged, then they win.

Damn.

Why is it that the "riddles" in this thread are guessed so much? It doesn't seem so hard to figure the darn thing out until you try.

seeking 64 lots of 4. What the sort of game has 256 red green blue and yellow pieces?

OOOH, 256 = 1 Byte. Computers, anyone? RGB + Yellow... wait what?

The only game I can think of that uses red, green, blue and yellow is Rummy, played with tiles.

Which isn't close a females name spelled wrong, or a carton - a box with flaps. I think cantab is just messing with us.

Parcheesi I will accept. Intended solution was Ludo.

And Chrome on Android sucks, so fuller explanations to come.

EDIT: So, fuller explanations.

Yeah, I tried to submit my post on my phone when the internet had got down, and it was lost, going back didn't restore it. Bad browser design right there.

Before anyone asks/complains, I know Sorry! and Frustration (known as Trouble in the US and other names elsewhere) were both guessed, but I regard them as different games. (And own Sorry!, a Frustration knock-off, and several Ludo sets). Sorry! uses cards not dice and has mechanics like directly sending another piece back to start. Frustration's popper is distinctive and the lack of barriers affects the gameplay somewhat. Parcheesi has some differences from Ludo too, but it looks closer.

A woman's name, misspelled perhaps, - Lu, sounding like Lou

An active verb, - do (not sounding like do though)

a box with flaps, - it comes in a box. No real significance to "flaps", I just needed a rhyme.

All seeking six - in Ludo you need to roll a six on the die to move a piece out from the start

four lots of four, - four sets of four pieces each

To send each other back for more, - you can send other players' pieces back to the start by landing your own on them

Red green and blue and yellow to see, - the usual colours of the pieces

It's fun for all the family, - It's a common family board game

Now if you're kept awake with worry,

Solving this, well I'm not sorry. - Ludo is a similar but different game to Sorry!

Thanks. I had to Google Ludo, once you posted it.

Here's the next one:

I go out most every night to drink,

but never get drunk, as one might think.

And hangovers do not trouble me,

For the quality of my drink is key.

If one might ask, should I not share?

I always will, it's not that rare.

But here's the twist to my little tale,

To drink as I do is beyond the pale.

its an anti-something isn't it.... probably one of those hypothetical planets that was proposed but didn't exist.

vulcan ? (planet close than mercury (this is not a reference to ST))

planet X ?,

the thing that was supposed to be at the opposite us on orbit of the sun... ?
