The Olympian sails Refers to the fact that captains of vessels are usually forced to be "above it all"

With lieutenants three Lieutenants are those directly under a captain, three is just filler.

Across the sound Describing the beginning of a voyage

Upon a great journey. Same as above.

The journey begun Filler.

At great expense It is remarkably expensive to build & equip ships.

The leader starts Again referring to the required aloofness of the captain

A loneliness hence.

The foe is sighted Prosy description of a naval battle

And with great haste

Begins the battle

The loser defaced.

In each of these A captain can be found leading each of these actions.

I may be found

Now what am I? Filler.

I think you posted before the edit. But hey, your poison.

So, when I said "hardest", I was formulating that conclusion based on the people I gave it to in real life, so I wont be surprised if someone gets it in 5 minutes, but I'm not expecting it.

Born from the same tree,

Yet destined for different fates.

We all bear children,

Who all have their waits.

The mother of us will die,

But we will not mourn.

Instead we cheer on

For our brothers will soon be born.

A scary sight, the first few looks,

But nothing to fear, we don't use these hooks.

An obvious answer it may seem,

But out of 2 correct ones, you find it's missing.

What is it? There are 2 answers.
