I have no ideal how this happened. This craft should be landed on the Mun. 'Career mode'..

No mods, no add-on, full original 0.22 installation. Save file available if request.

So the most important question, were you able to do SCIENCE! before it exploded?

My science part fully unlock. No science issues.

This craft should be the 1st landed on Mun. When I send the 2nd craft on Mun it still there...then somehow later...It just appear landed on the Sun...I don't know what happened.

Assuming one can kill off the orbital velocity of 16km/s or whatever it is, its surface gravity is probably in the order of 15G and is more than hot enough to melt the most resilient parts-- assuming being crushed by pressure orders of magnitude greater than the "surface" of Jool doesn't kill a ship first.

Landing on the sun is like landing a supersonic aircraft carrier on a rubber duck. It would be an absurd act of charity to say it was even theoretically possible.

I'll need to look back and see if I took a snapshot of any bug like that I've had. I think I remember an instance in previous updates of the location being wrong (though not that ridiculous). Impressive accomplishment though, whether you claim credit or not. I've never accidentally landed on Kerbol.

For what it's worth, the surface gravity of the KSP sun is "only" 1.75 gees. Surface gravity dropped considerably when the sun went from roughly 65,000 km in radius in 0.17 to 216,000km in radius in 0.18, while keeping the same mass. Orbital velocity near the surface, on the other hand, is more like 67 km/s.

And true, a spacecraft capable of 67 km/s delta-V with more than 1.75 gees thrust would be a sight to see, if the game didn't typically destroy by overheating anything that got closer than about 1.2 km to the solar surface (Or at least, that was the threshold back in 0.21).

That would be realistic, but this is KSP. :P The last time I went to the sun was in 0.20 during my big Icarus Project. As I recall, the command pod exploded 1km off the sun's surface and the rest of the ship fell into the sun.

Still doesn't make it anything less than comically unpossible :D

I was thinking more akin to our sun, who's surface gravity is about 67G.

The Sun's model seems to be smaller than it's collision model

.. or it's perpetually placed under rockets in the sun atmosphere scene? When my "ship" got close to the surface of the sun my autopilot using krpc seemed to think up was changing a lot... or I was really close to the center to the planet?
