USBs for transferring saves

ok so i was going to my dads they both have ksp so i used a usb to move the saves it worked it is all there but when i go in the the VAB i cant load my ship but i can launch them in the launcher in the SH i can open the load thing so help me plz i looked in the code and it looked like it didnt change

Did you copy the whole "Saves" folder? You can copy the persistence and quicksave files on their own but without the craft file folders you won't have any ships except the stock ones.

ya i did the whole save folder i have all the ships but i just cant access load ships it just dosent open but i have all my ships

Is it the same version? .21 is NOT compatible with .22, and visa-versa.

ya i it is i just cant open the load file for my ships in the VAB on the saves i moved but the ons that where on it before i can open the load file in VAB

First off, please do not make multiple posts to reply to different people, you can simply use the multiquote function or write something like "In reply to X".

As for your issue, there are multiple things that could have gone wrong. If you copied the entire Saves folder then make sure that both computers are running the same mods, if any. Also make sure that there is a KSP/ships folder, below it there should be /SPH and /VAB. Those are the stock ships, if the folders are not present however loading may not work properly.

If either computer's KSP version has been altered, like parts added or removed, it could cause a conflict and render specific ships unable to load.

You should also doublecheck your file structure. KSP/saves/Ships/VAB for example. That's where the saved crafts need to be.

Since no one mentioned trying this. build a ship and save it. Can you access that ship? If so, do your other ships show up in the list?
