I tried adding a blank HullCameraVDS.cfg and it made the game completely. refuse. to. load.

That said, the HullCamera parts load fine for me.. but no KAS winches, and no 6C

What? Really? Well that shouldn't happen either. Gah. Why do there have to be soooo maaaany moooods. :confused:

rbray89 gave you the answer; check the link he posted.

Yes I saw that, but I didn't understand why he posted a link to the habitat pack. I guess he means he added that to the config which would have been a more suitable answer instead of sending a link.

I figured out what the problem was for KAS; have to set up the file like this: and it works fine.

NORMAL_LIST

{

}

OVERRIDES

{

}

Oddly, this doesn't work for 6C, the game will load, but not the parts.

EDIT: Fixed that too.. typo in filename ::feels like idiot::

So this sounds like an issue specific to 2-9, as I did not have to do that when I installed 2-8...

Yeah, I have an idea of what is going on, but I won't be able to upload a new version until I get home today.

For what it's worth, adding blank configs for both KSPX and HullCameraVDS solved my problems -- and introduced others. Now the 6S Service Compartment Tubes aren't loading! :D

Incredible mod though. I'm now up to a full gigabyte of memory savings and I still haven't added in a few of my mods yet. Dare I hope to be able to run all of my preferred mods plus B9 in under 2GB of memory? Oh, I can dream.

The improvement in my water lag problem is incredible too. Water lag has all but disappeared for me unless I'm looking directly at the ocean now. Which implies to me that Squad could solve the water lag problem if they really wanted to. Grumble, grumble, gripe, gripe.

Just a heads up, the new version 2-9 seems to cause the scoop-o-matics from the mod Beastly Science to not load.

Just thought you wouldn't like to know.

The new version has serious issues loading anything that's not explicitly defined in a configuration file. It deleted my RemoteTech dishes and single highhandedly wiped out my entire communications network. Luckily I had backups.

Anyway, version 8 doesn't seem to have that issue for some reason.

Everyone should have backups for this reason alone. Updates can cause issues, smart move on your part.

What? How? Do ships permanently disappear if parts can't load due to textures? , I have a fix in the works, just have to get home to upload it. I'll have to post a warning on the OP for now.

If a model, part, or texture is missing and you load a vessel they usually disappear yes.

Good to know. Updated OP to reference 2.8 for now. Shiny textures, but at least ships don't go into the Kermuda triangle.

This is the best mod ever now that the shiny parts have been fixed. Some were not fixed but a simple config edit fixed it. These are all the mods I have installed and I am only at 2.8gb! Thank you! :D
