Hey All,

New to KSP and just completed my very first landing... it was on Minmus. What a blast.

I know this is considered a pretty basic event but it was a big step for me having just become comfortable with achieving orbit.

Thanks to all who take time to post instructional videos.

Nothing Basic about landing on Minmus at all, as Whackjob said it is a milestone and should always be celebrated! Congrats on the first of many first to come your way!!

Today it's Minmus, tomorrow the Mun and soon it will be Tylo. The basics are the same for every powered landing, for some of the other places you just need a rocket with more oomph. Congrats! It's a larger step than you might think.

A first landing is a real achievement. Can you send us a screenshot of your ship (press F1, press F2 to remove the navball etc)? Very hard the first time but it gets easier.

Your first landing on a different body is the biggest milestone there is in KSP. Congrats.

The only other big milestone is docking, everything else useles those 2 skills (orbital randevous, and getting to and landing on a different body)

Welcome newcomer! Congrats on your first Minmus landing! One thing that does make Minmus a milestone is its inclination!

The lander I used is probably a very common design, closely modeled after Scott Manley's lander in his YouTube tutorials. Here's a screenshot. Hope I'm doing it correctly to show in this message...
