Free electronics simulation software?

I've recently been building electronic components in the powder toy. Unfortunately it is severely limited, building a complex processor requires overlapping circuitry, something this just can't do. I'm limited to building single bit components. And don't even get me started on building interfaces for these.

Is there any software out there where i can:

1) Build my own processor and data storage devices.

2) Create displays and peripherals.

3) Save each piece individually and combine them together at a later time?

Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks :D

ive never encountered a circuit simulator that worked better than just building the damn thing and putting a multimeter and oscope to it.

ive tried LTspice, but didnt really do anything useful with it. heres some tutorials:

though its mostly for analog stuff.

Ameteur engineers don't often have the tools and the work space and the parts to do this.

All I've got is a soldering iron, one spool of wire, and a couple LEDs. I made a light up shirt once :P
