Steam OS and Ksp?

the first version of steam OS came out today. Anyone gonna try it it with Ksp? I'm guessing it will run the Linux version of Ksp? I've been loosely following steam OS so don't know the full in and outs yet.

KSP already works on Linux, and is released on Steam. "Steam OS" is Linux with Steam pre-installed. No reason it shouldn't work.

I agree. But my understanding was steam OS was meant to stream from another slave computer to ur living room or something. I'm assuming it would be the Linux version of Ksp u would play but u might also be able to do the slave type thing with a stream to the living room off a Windows pc. I might try and duel boot it this week and see what I come up with.

no, it's not meant to work that way, basically you install a new lighter and more advanced SteamBox PC (with pre-installed StemOS) under your TV, or customly builded PC and installed SteamOS, and play from your coach. for actually streaming video from one PC to another you actually need a very neet PC in the beginning and anyway it will be simple and better to put your TV in it.

I'm just going to put this excerpt from the SteamOS FAQ:

There are two different install methods for SteamOS. '''WARNING: BOTH METHODS WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON THE MACHINE'''

The download does not appear to support dual booting, according to most posts I've seen, so don't try it out yet if you want to keep any of your current files or operating systems.

Now that you've been warned, if you do install it, please do report back on how it goes and KSP performance

seeing as I have over 58 games installed on here, and my 294kb/s internet is not something i wan't to use to dl everything AGAIN
