  1. Yeah, I've been using it for over 10 years now, and see no reason to switch.
  2. Well, this is strange. I'm only able to reproduce this when starting KSP from a desktop shortcut ( exec=/opt/KSP/KSP.x86_64 ). If I actually go into the folder and launch it, it works fine.
  3. Ubuntu 14.04, non-steam version of KSP, Geforce 670 GTX with proprietary drivers.
  4. Nothing happens if I right-click them once attached, and they have no menu actions in the inventory.
  5. I'm confused, how does attaching struts on EVA work now? I can only place the beginning end of the strut.
  6. Wishlist: Add a setting to use Earth day/year lengths as opposed to Kerbin days and years.
  7. I was wondering, with the addition of the displace/rotate gadgets in 0.90, does FAR properly account for the drag of the parts that are hidden/partially hidden inside other parts (by ignoring it)?
  8. The Kerbin orbit satellite contracts are completely unbalanced in 0.25. Take the funds->science strategy to 80% and you can basically unlock the entire tech tree after launching about five Kerbin orbit satellites, while still making a ton of money.
  9. I've tried the compiled .dll on linux x86_64. KAS containers' content can't be edited in the VAB/SPH (no edit option on right-click), can't grab KAS parts off craft on eva (the only right-click menu option is "No Damage").
  10. It sends information about my PC use that is otherwise private, with a unique, persistent identifier (ie, not "anonymous"), in plaintext, to some guy. Similar to your surprise at the fact that people are worrying about this, I'm surprised that people are ok with this.
  11. The solution is simple and obvious - anyone who wants their data to be collected should have to download the plugin as a standalone and explicitly allow it. Silently bundling it with other popular mods while only notifying the users through a single changelog line is unacceptable, as is the opt-out policy and the use of the word "anonymous" to describe anything about this mod.
  12. That doesn't matter - it attaches a unique identifier to my data that remains constant over sessions, therefore, it can not be described as anonymous, but pseudonymous at best.
  13. It attaches a unique identifier to a particular install, which means it does identify you and can track individual players. And, just to add insult to injury, all that data is being sent in plaintext. If doing that without explicitly telling the end-user and without making it explicitly opt-in isn't an invasion of privacy, I don't know what it.
  14. That's not the issue. Any data collection being opt-out in the first place is unacceptable. It needs to be opt-in, and people need to stop bundling it with everything - ie, it needs to be opt in such that the end-user has to explicitly download it himself (not bundled into another mod and just mentioned in a changelog) to opt into data collection.
