Future implementations of features in ksp ?

I am a bit 'lost the news. What are the future implementations of features and everything else (ie by adding more information to new parts used in the game) that SQUAD has plans for ksp?

I play ksp from 0.15/0.16 and I am tired of waiting and insert every time the most useful mods (like mechjeb and protractor), partly because some of these in the future may no longer be followed by a modder and therefore not supported.

Not that they are not useful mods, it is a fact that the community of modders is ahead of the squad (just see what you can implement: for more information and useful and not those skimpy base game, a mapping system topographic and so on), nay they are useful and how, but I am annoyed every time to make this push and pull.

Sometimes I think suffice to "copy" from the modders, as the "work" has already been done.
