Kasuha
I don't think landed crafts should be automatically excluded from "flights in progress". Maybe "flight" is not exactly the best word here, but Opportunity rover is not flying anywhere for quite some time and it's still "in progress". And "mission in progress" is not the best choice as well as mission may encompass multiple ships.
kujuman
I'm down with leaving flags mostly how they are currently handled. I think the better improvement is to keep the filters one selects in the tracking station persistent.Although the one change I'd make is to optionally set flags to not be cycled to by pressing [ and ] . They just get in the way at a crowded Mun base.

I went into quite a bit of detail about the difference between the "in progress" and "is flying" parts of the phrase "flights in progress" and how in some cases (rovers) it's only the "flying" part that's wrong, not the "in progress" part. For flags, both happen to be wrong. For rovers, only one of them is wrong. A proper solution to both *MUST* separate the two into two separate properties, and then only mention the "in progress" property in the summary you see for campaign saves. At the scene of a crash it can be really annoying to try to work out which of the 30 or so things you're toggling between is the right one. d-man97
Steve Mading: Switching vehicle to debris has nothing to do with OP, please start new thread for off-topic ideas.Flags should not count as "Flights in progress". The first time I loaded a save, I saw this and fully expected to load and find out that something didn't save correctly and that I would have to get my craft back to Kerbin for a second time. This, of course, was not the case. I actually had 0 flights in progress. This is basic UX - you should not lie to me, you should know my expectations and full-fill them (or educate me on why your method is better). Not showing flags in the scape center by default or remembering my filter preference, although a very good idea that should probably be implemented, does not fix the root issue of the load UI lying to me. Javster
Is this another overwhelming YES which Squad won't implement?

What I was talking about was on topic given the proposal of the previous post.
