EVA Fuel???

Okay guys, I just noticed something peculiar with regards to EVA fuel. I just launched a test mission in a new save to make sure my mods were working correctly after the new installs and went EVA. I noticed I had a full tank, as was expected, but what caught my eye was the read out: 5.00/5.00 is this just an oddity or did they drop fuel down that far?

EVA fuel got nerfed. You even have a limited supply on board now

Well, their jetpack's isp must be pretty high, they have about 600m/s Dv IIRC.

Yeah I think that was one of the most unfun things about the update.

Crazy low gravity jetpack EVA's are the most fun you can have with your spacesuit on.

looks like they are starting to go a more realistic route, which is cool, gonna make it so we plan our stuff more precisely

@flamedsteak: yeah, it was the best way to speed across minmus lol BUT, I think I can see a realistic approach with it

They just changed the units for the display ... in earlier versions it was percent, now it is absolute numbers.

And it is Monopropellant that drives the jetpacks ... so, if you add additional monoprop tanks to your lander/spaceship,

you will have fuel for more EVAs than you have with the standard amount of Monoprop on the capsule

No, the supply is still infinite. They merely changed the way the fuel is displayed.

As they now have 5.00 monopropellant, how much delta-v does that translate into? Can they still go into orbit around smaller bodies?

Purely subjectively I would guess the dV hasn´t changed ...

I am still able to cover around the same distance on Mun/Minmus via Jetpack, as I have been before

Also you can barely ascent form Munar surface to above 5x5km orbit on that. Just like it was in previous versions.
