Type and family of ship

It's a suggestion for Squad, but I guess they are thinking of this possibility in future version:

Would it be possible to class the saved ships and the saved subassemblies by type ( lander, probes...) and family (this could just be a name designed by the player or a color, or something else), so that we could choose ships and subassemblies by type and family when we save and load them?

We build a lot of ships and subassemblies and it is not easy to remember exactly what they are really, even with the description.

In the subassembly file there is a green symbol of ship. This symbol could change with the type of ship and its color could be different with the family.
