I have watched all the movies more than 5 times and I never noticed this. And also, what if s/he is 10 years old and just watched the movie for the first time?

I watched the movies a couple of times, but people don't pay attention to the gun pods of gunships.

I've only seen each movie once, didn't notice it then, and don't see it now.

They're spheres with a laser gun on them. Other than that I don't see any similarity.

I suppose that they kind of have a similar look in them, and I probably noticed that when I first time watched the movie because I was/am a huge SW nerd.
