Chaka Monkey - Closed Development Thread

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm having some trouble with some of the pre-assembled .craft's. The "ORION DEMO.craft" and "EMLV II - Orion.craft" will bug out my game if I load them, forcing a restart. I have not tried with any other craft files. The bug is similar to what happens if you pull in a subassembly whithout having at least one part already in place. I pretty much can't construct the craft myself, as all the crafts in CMES are very complicated.

Could you try re downloading the pack and starting with a fresh copy of .25?

Yes, perhaps. ISS panels are black on an orange support structure - this is why they can, at times, seem orange. BTW, I'm releasing the updated American Pack later this evening, you can grab the Orion interior from there and re-prop it with ALCOR switches. Should be easier than making a bespoke IVA.

BobCat ind. doesn't work for you? Shame, it seems to be working just fine on my end. I'm not saying there is no room for improvements, but last time I checked, everything ran fine (and people seem to confirm that, so the problem is on your end). Reinstall, check dependencies, you know the drill. If you mean CSS, it's being remade from scratch, no point fixing it now (besides, it also mostly works. The few things that don't are the reason it's being remade). I'm not currently actively working on any other mods, except an effects pack for FASA RO that is not yet released.

CMS is supposed to look realistic, so drop the "game about little green men" argument, it's been done to death and isn't really valid. KSP is supposed to be realistic.

When the last time you checked the OP really ? and my stuff works better then anything you have put out.

EDIT- And, I think the key word is But isn't.

Come on guys, PM, social media, anywhere else would be more appropriate for that conversation, it's disrespectful for people coming here with technical issues looking for answers.

Just to let you know, the American Pack is out. I've fixed the Altair landing legs. There's also an IVA for Orion. Check it out and see if there's anything of use in there.

Alright, so after a little testing, I found that you forgot to rename the OME for the Orion. The part name is the same as the one in Aerojet Kerbodyne, which causes it to bug out when the same part name is used twice. I'm changing the name to ChakaOME on my local install.

Additionally, the LES for the Orion pod is not powerful enough to pull the capsule away from the rocket. I suggest upping both the fuel amount and the thrust of the LES.

Another bug I noticed is that I can't right click on any parts from this pack while in flight. The context menu simply does not show up, which could become a problem when trying to undock and such.

Okay that's sorted. The issue is depending on what modules are present, sometimes the science container has to be first and sometimes the lab must be first. I'l get the rest of the pods fixed up presently, and do the other things

Still have the bug .25.6 :(

EDIT- And it's the same crafts

EDIT- Getting a warning message about the Struts and got 2 just says error Input is null and a error with TransmitterModule part Module 0 doesn't implement IScalarModule

I think it's because if you install JSI it adds a config

EDIT: I can confirm this I just caused the crash by putting this JSI config in my gamedata.

SO orbitalorbinternals gets a new asset name and I edit a bunch of CFG's, then it's fixed.

Edit: Yes that definitely fixed it.

Hey YANFRET, there are more parts that need renaming. One of the inflatable heatshields have the same name as the original, and the static solar truss from Near Future bugs out too. I have verified that the names are conflicting in the .cfg.

Oh, and by the way, even including the old .cfg of the OME (the one where you changed the title to "remove this") will cause weirdness, so please remove that .cfg from the download.
