Terrain Mapping mod, which one?

Hey everyone!

Sorry for bothering ye I'm sure this question has been answered many times already but I'm looking for a mod that'll allow me to map the surface of the mun so I can find a nice flat so I can land and build up my lunar base!

Or if someone just wants to give me a set of coordinates that I can plug into mechjeb that'll also work!

ISA MapSat is currently* not being actively developed, and the "best" replacement that I am aware of us still a Work In Progress.

* - author has other things going on, but has made it clear that neither has he abandoned it nor does he want anyone taking the reigns.

By the way, if isa mapsat woudl be 0.23 compatible, woudl it be better that current scansat? Does it include functionality absent in scansat?

Get SCANSat mod.....its WAY better than ISA has ever been. Not to mention that the current build of ISA is full of bugs and memory leaks.

SCANSat also provides functionality ISA does not. And it may be a work in progress, but it still works great!...and imo a WIP mod with no bugs is much better than an old mod filled with bugs not being worked on....

+1 for SCANsat. It's very stable and largely bug-free; the "Why hasn't this been released yet?" posts in its forum thread far outnumber the bug reports. Check it out here.

ISA isn't recommended as it is unsupported now and was left in a buggy state.

SCANsat is the new standard and is improving all the time.

Sorry now but I looked in the spaceport but couldn't find it! I tried searching scansat, scan sat etc but no good, can someone throw up a link to it please

That is most definitely NOT it. That's not a mod, that's a craft which is relying on, according to the description; NovaPunch, KW Rocketry, Procedural Fairings, KSP Interstellar, Near-Future Propulsion Pack AND SCANsat.
