He has returned! Amazing. Downloading now :)

Oh and just curious, what does zAtmo_hotrockets.cfg do? I deleted it last update and had nothing change. :confused:

It makes plumes expand with decreasing atmospheric density.

Yay! Better Fx again! I'll download it after asking something. I just love the gorgeous looking new SR-71 style turboramjet exhaust Fx. How can I disable your Fx for the turboramjet so it uses the squad ones? But good work with the other ones, they make engines even cooler than they now are!

Does anyone have an updated Novapunch config? I am having the problem with engines continuing to produce flames with no thrust and throttle at zero, specifically with the Bronco 3.75M engine.

Also, Should this be happening in space?

Or just change the emission rate to zero at zero density in the config.

From my understanding of the config it already is 0 at 0 density

emission = 0.0 0.0 // Curve for emission like stock
emission = 0.05 0.0 // Curve for emission like stock
emission = 0.2 0.5 // Curve for emission like stock
emission = 1.0 1.8 // Curve for emission like stock

emission = 0.0 0.0 // Curve for emission like stock
emission = 0.05 0.0 // Curve for emission like stock

emission = 1.0 1.8 // Curve for emission like stock

Try changing emission = 0.05 0.0 to emission = 0.1 0.0 and changing emission = 0.2 0.5 to something like emission = 0.3 0.5

What will i be losing by doing this?

Launch smoke that is now incredibly laggy with the new stock launch/surface smoke.

Try changing emission = 0.05 0.0 to emission = 0.1 0.0 and changing emission = 0.2 0.5 to something like emission = 0.3 0.5 .

tried that but it really didn't help so I removed the config for now, thanks for the help

Not quite, that adjusts it by throttle, by default. Try like this:

emission
{
density = 1 1
density = 0.01 1
density = 0 0
}

That'll set it properly, leave in the original emission parameters, so it's still adjusted by throttle.

Can somebody help me with this (perceived) problem?

All my engines seem to do this ball of fire thing when I launch. Am I doing it wrong?

What config does this go in and where is it placed? Hotrockets configs are pretty confusing.

I'm having an issue with the rocket exhaust... All the emitted particles seem to bunch up right at their emission point. This happens with all engines, on a clean Hotrockets install (I didn't touch any of the files). Anyone having a similar problem and/or knows a fix?
