mikecorp11 Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 I think that they should keep the mountains, but move them north at least a little bit, because when one is trying to reentry precisely to land at KSC with a plane, it can be quite difficult avoiding the mountains. I have had several successful landings on KSC's runway both from orbit and with regular aircraft, and not once have I have a altitude problem with clearing the mountains. Vonar Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Yeah, the ideal landing approach is to place your periapsis at around 20 kilometers above the Kerbal space center.
