what planets will have biomes?

im just wondering what they are planning for biomes. will all planets have separate biomes or only some. if so, which ones?

All planets and moons apart from Jool will have biomes, well and the Sun of course

These take time to get "right" and may still be tweaked later, we'll see what we get in 0.24

I would say there is a case to be made for Jool to have biomes. At least for the polar vortex which it would surely have being a gas giant and maybe if it somehow develops a huge stable storm in a future update? It should be worth some science to check those out closely I would think. Whether that happens is another story of course. The Sun not so much. Big blob of burning stuff.

Jool could have biomes, but I also think the devs would need to make a different approach when it comes to Jool. An idea is to give Jool more vertical layers ,such as high orbit, low orbit, upper Magnetosphere, lower Magnetosphere, upper atmosphere, and lower atmosphere. Maybe even have a "radiation belt" biome for low and high orbit altitudes.

The same goes for the sun. A possible biome for the sun could be an area of which a ship can observe the solar wind in various orbits. A star can be just as interesting of a place as a planet if you think about the science of it. Biomes could consists of:

heliopause

ultra high orbit

high orbit

low orbit

upper magnetosphere

lower magnetsphere

various radiation belts (at different altitudes)

the solar wind (at different altitudes)

Kerbol should have at least a polar biome, which can be observed from a polar orbit.

Yes, Jool and Kerbol should have them. Gas giants and stars have a lot to offer.
