Press one to deploy solar panels when in position under docking port.

I hope you like it.

I really like the idea, it's very convenient, now that fixed solar panels are puny enough for "pit stops" deploying the extensible, fragile ones. I mean fragile to the wind, they seem to serve just fine as jacks.

Rune. Actually, Gigantors would give you a huge bump in height. Might be useful someday.

Steadfast light cruiser. The IEV Steadfast is currently sat in a 270km orbit awaiting a test mission, but so far, so good.

Yeah, it's a pretty small cruiser compared to earlier designs.

She's not intended to be a replacement for the Marathon class; the Marathon is more intended for longer-ranged heavy missions as the torus in that design can accommodate base modules. The Steadfast is more of a survey vessel.

I will admit that the propulsion is... rather overpowered. The 6 ion engines each produce 60kN of thrust at ~5000s of ISP, and while they are extremely, extremely power hungry, I've got some 'fusion reactors' to power them (fission reactor models from Near Future Technologies that are stripped of the fission modules in the config files and have an electrical generator module instead, producing 1500 charge per second instead of the puny 0.75 of the RTG).

I don't normally use these engines, and all my rockets are legit chemical lifters using stock parts (as seen in that first picture) because they're enjoyable (lets face it, taking the challenge out of everything is no fun at all), but yeah, sometimes I like to play with advanced propulsion and electrical technologies (with attempts at balancing accordingly). So sue me :P

I understand why this things are such a pain in real life. There's so much to cram into such a tiny body. And the basic engine is so underpowered now I have to do everything I can to make it lighter.

I need to use the basic engine instead of the turbojet so that it has the same thrust as the basic engine in the body. But does anyone know a mod that could equalize the thrust of the two different engines?

Else I could just play with the thrust limiter of the turbojet and hope I can achieve VTOL that way

This is an absolutely insane vehicle. It's an "SSTO" (it's currently kind of unstable and needs work, although i'm positive with a bit more fuel it can make it into orbit). It uses 30 engines to lift it vertically. Also, the reason it needs this is for the insane terrain that it's designed for.

One of my final projects, the B767-300 and B777-300ER has been completed. Now to start work on a B787-8 and A350.

Also, I turned the Spaceplane Hangar to an impromptu airport :sticktongue: (Rep for anyone who can recognize all the aircraft types :D)

Took me 20 minutes to get them parked properly.. And a little disastrous.

Airbus A320 (Wingtip Fences, 2 wheeled main landing gear), Boeing 737 (Blended Winglets?) , Boeing 727 (3 engines, 2 wheeled main landing gear), B767-300 (4 wheeled main landing gear?)

All this talk about passenger planes, and . . .

A more fitting 777 fuselage

Now put that on a 747....

That's amazingly correct - and in order as well! I'm happy I'm not lonely in being a hardcore fan of aviation :D

That's HUGE! Never seen anything like it :D

It's times like this that I wish the Mk3 didn't have it's flat edges :( Now I'd have to sacrifice aesthetics for rouded- nose planes.

You know, you can give it a dab if you want :D
