How do you restrict yourself?

I use remote tech deadly Reentry and Ferram Aerospace for challenges I have some rules on debris like if its decently sized ill destroy or deorbit it otherwise I don't really so too much as I go for fun not limitations

No manned missions without return journeys, life support mods etc, build realistic looking rockets (FAR compatible basically)

I'm still working up the nerve to try FAR and Deadly Reentry.

Havent tried DE but pleasse dont be scared of FAR, if you design your rockets right it actually is easier.

I only play challenge mode since it has been introduced:

Mods:

FAR

DRE

Tac Life Support

Artificial restrictions:

Launch Rescue System in every manned rocket if possible (as soon as I have the separation boosters)

Every stage that has a chance to be recovered (due to being separated within the atmosphere/ before orbit) gets enough parachutes to have a chance to land on Kerbin unharmed enough to be recovered by my recovery teams (which, of course, aren´t implemented ... it is just for roleplaying purposes)

In 0.22 (where science modules didn´t get depleted due to use) I also restrictd myself on manned missions to a single transmission per Science-Module type and Biome (forcing myself to bring scientific results home, instead of depleting the Biomes by transmissioins alone)

Career mode:

-To unlock a tech level I must have 3 times the science points required for that level.

-Can only unlock one node after a successful mission.

-No reverts unless "test flight" is explicitly called before launch - and successful tests must be reverted and never continue to a full mission.

-When Kerbals die, they stay dead.

-Keep all debris (except on Kerbin where I recover it all).

I play Real Solar System stock career mode with stock parts, KW Rocketry, FAR and DRE. And KAS. Because I'm sure I will forget to put solar panels on something important at some point. I always do.

i'm using a couple of mods that are making things more difficult, but will use F9 a lot! .
